Young Urszula is kidnapped and forced into prostitution. When she manages to return to her hometown, she encounters ostracism instead of joy and euphoria. She begins to understand that she was considered dead and that her painful experiences are not a cause for compassion. Narrowly understood Catholicism, ‘What will people say?’, fear instead of happiness, and the inquisitiveness of the uncle – the priest. Family is a value, family is sacred and a daughter ‘with her past’ does not fit into perfect picture.
