Poor, gloomy world and overwhelming everyday life, which becomes even more difficult to bear. One fatal day part-time waitress Irina gets fired and her husband suffers an accident and becomes a cripple. In an already difficult situation, they face poverty. A chance for a change of fate is a proposal to give birth to a child to another couple. The miracle of new life is a difference of destiny for every mother, and the seemingly simple solution raises moral, ethical and personal dilemmas. Irina experiences the power of love and forgiveness. The director, who grew up without a father herself with this movie makes a deep bow to all mothers.
