DESCRIPTION

Dramatic rescue action in the Himalayas has been followed by many people around the world. Mainly in Poland and France – climbers Tomasz Mackiewicz and Elisabeth Revol needed help close to Nanga Parbat's summit. Luckily, a Polish team headed by Krzysztof Wielicki was preparing for a historic summit in the winter, on the second highest mountain in the world of K2. The brave action of Adam Bielecki and Denis Urubko saves Revol's life, her partner stays in the mountains forever. Expedition to K2 is resumed. 


DIRECTOR
Dariusz Załuski (1959) A Polish director, stage designer and photographer, as well as an Alpine, Tatry and Himalayan climber. He mainly creates documentaries on mountain themes. The first film challenge was to shoot on the last expedition led by Andrzej Zawada (1997). His oeuvre includes over a dozen films documenting mountain expeditions in which many leading Polish and foreign Himalayan mountaineers are heroes. He climbed five eight-thousands mountains, including K2 and – twice – Mount Everest.
