Zack, Keire and Bing live in the Rust Belt – postindustrial area, once famous for heavy industry, now decayed. They dream to get out of here. Free time three friends have filled up partying and, above all, what they love the most in the world - skateboarding. They unexpectedly have to face a real adult life – Zack becomes a father, Keire goes to work and Bing is focusing of his psyche, healing deep childhood wounds. Barack Obama placed Minding the Gap on the list of his 2018 favorite films.

Bing Liu (born 1989) Chinese American cinematographer, director, actor, producer and editor. In Minding the Gap Liu is both a director and the subject of the film as he often speaks to his subjects from off camera. The film deals heavily with domestic violence and toxic masculinity. It is the first feature film that he directed. He has two forthcoming documentary projects; the first will focus on two gun violence intervention programs in Chicago, and the second, which he has not yet started filming, will focus on millennial relationships.
