Film about a fragile balance between a dream and an obsession and a subtle balance between comedy and drama. It is 1992, Lithuania, after regaining independence, is making a political change, moving from communism to capitalism. A small pig farm managed by Irena is in trouble. Irene tries to keep the farm and her employees. The chance comes in the person of the handsome American Bernardas, who promises to save the failed venture. His appearance disturbs the routine and peace of the village and turns Irena's family life upside down. As Irene begins to succumb to his charm, she realizes that his intentions may not be pure.
