DESCRIPTION

Rike is an emergency doctor. She lives in Western Europe, is educated, confident, determined and committed. She is also a water sports enthusiast. She is fulfilling the long-held dream and sails out to sea alone in her sailing boat to the Ascension Island. Shortly after the storm, on the ocean she meets an overloaded ship, hundreds of people are in a life-threatening state. Rike is calling for help on the radio under maritime law. She sees that her report is not echoed and makes a fatal decision.

DIRECTOR
Wolfgang Fischer (1970) Austrian director, writer and producer. He studied Psychology and Painting at the University of Vienna, followed by studies of Film at the Art Academy of Düsseldorf and at the Academy of Media Arts (KHM) in Cologne. Beside various teaching assignments he was working as an assistant for Paul Morrissey and Nan Hoover. He was awarded a scholarship by the Munich Screenplay Program and by Equinoxe Europe. His debut feature film was What You Don't See (2009).
