DESCRIPTION

Poland in 1965 is a country behind the Iron Curtain. Andrzej Hoffman, repressed and imprisoned in the post-war years, works as a doctor in a hospital. Work is his whole life. In her heart he carries the desire to meet his wife and daughter, who live in Great Britain. The only way to get the money needed to escape from Poland is to rob a bank. This solution is given to Hoffman by a patient who is known from the AK times. Outstanding acting performances by Janusz Gajos and Jan Frycz.

DIRECTOR
Wojciech Wójcik (1943-2018) Film and television director and screenwriter. In 1969 he graduated Directing from the State Higher School of Film, Television and Theatre in Łódź. Until the end of the 1980s, he worked as the second director with Kazimierz Kutz, Stanisław Różewicz, Jerzy Kawalerowicz, Jerzy Hoffman and others. A special place in his directorial output is occupied by There and Back (Tam i z powrotem) with excellent creations of Janusz Gajos and Jan Frycz. Wide popularity brought him The TV series Extradiction (Ekstradycja).
