A female voice in the male-dominated film world? And what a voice. An American film critic wrote reviews for New Yorker from 1968 to 1991. Pauline Kael has changed the perception of movies to different pole of interest. What was once just a pleasant weekend pastime into life choices, must-see, do-or-die, and high-stakes experiences. The story is largely told in Pauline's own words, taken from letters, interviews and published texts. Controversial, funny, self-confident – in the eyes of those, whose work she assessed still once can see the respect.
